Software Mind is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. This fully backend-focused role emphasizes Java 17, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, with AI-assisted development tools shaping the workflow.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, and Operations to deliver reliable backend solutions for both customer-facing and internal AutoNation applications.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java 17, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools as part of the workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 17, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Develop scalable, reliable solutions for customer-facing and internal applications.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions before implementation.
• Translate designs and business requirements into maintainable backend solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support code generation, testing, and productivity.
• Review and improve AI-generated code for quality, security, and maintainability.
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot backend issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, and Operations throughout the lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and establish backend engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain scheduled/background jobs when needed (e.g., Quartz).
