Job summary

Svitla Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for the DR Platform (AWS) to manage an AWS-based disaster recovery environment 24/7 for a US food distribution business. The role involves implementing infrastructure as code, network configuration, and automated DR tests in a remote LATAM-based team.

The candidate should have 6+ years in cloud infrastructure or DevOps, strong AWS expertise, and experience with replication and backup technologies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS networking and identity management.
• Experience with AWS services: EC2, VPC, Site-to-Site VPN, Route 53, IAM, AWS WorkSpaces, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, EBS, S3.
• Experience with replication technologies (VMware, Zerto) and backup platforms (Rubrik).
• Terraform or CloudFormation, PowerShell and Python.
• Disaster recovery testing and failover/failback procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review replication coverage and right-size recovery servers.
• Configure AWS networking (VPCs, VPN, Route 53 cutover, firewall rules).
• Manage AWS identity services and WorkSpaces capacity.
• Automate DR procedures and update configurations and jobs.
• Implement monitoring and alerts for replication health.
• Define infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Plan and execute DR tests and document runbooks.
