Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with deep expertise in Kotlin, modern Android architecture, and AI integrations to join our Americas team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling the native mobile applications that power complex, AI-driven experiences for our enterprise clients in North America.

Based in Argentina, you will act as a core technical pillar for the region, bridging the gap between client requirements and high-performance delivery. You will focus on engineering excellence, specifically in the realms of native performance and cloud-connected mobile solutions, while collaborating with our global engineering teams in Europe.

As a Senior Android Developer at Beyond, you’ll:

• Develop Native Apps: Write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code in Kotlin to support high-scale native Android applications.
• Engineer Cloud Connectivity: Configure seamless integrations with GCP services, utilizing Firebase and Cloud Functions to power mobile features.
• Own Technical Design: Author technical documentation that translates mobile‑specific business needs into executable architectural blueprints.
• Manage App Lifecycle: Manage the full lifecycle of the application, from local development and testing to Play Store deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate AI Features: Implement mobile‑side logic for AI‑driven experiences, including integration with Vertex AI endpoints and agentic mobile workflows.
• Collaborate Globally: Work closely with US‑based product owners and European delivery teams, requiring a proactive communication style and flexibility for early‑morning syncs.
• Ensure Quality: Champion best practices in Material Design, mobile security, and automated unit/UI testing to ensure the reliability of enterprise‑level deployments.

Things that will make you stand out:

• Engineering Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong focus on native Kotlin applications.
• Kotlin Expertise: Mastery of the Kotlin language, Coroutines, and modern Jetpack libraries.
• Architecture Proficiency: Deep understanding of MVVM/MVI architectures and dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• AI/ML Integration: Experience integrating mobile applications with backend AI services and understanding on‑device ML capabilities.
• GCP/Firebase Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Firebase suite and Google Cloud services for mobile.
• Communication: Fluent English skills with the ability to discuss technical trade‑offs clearly with both peers and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Jetpack Compose: Strong experience with modern declarative UI development.
• Cross‑Platform Awareness: Familiarity with KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) or Flutter.
• Performance Optimization: Experience with memory profiling and rendering performance tools.
• App Security: Deep understanding of OWASP Mobile Top 10 and secure data storage on Android.
