Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI-Native) for LATAM, fully remote. You’ll work on a modern transaction platform leveraging AI coding agents to accelerate delivery and shape architecture in a production SaaS environment.

The role emphasizes ownership, pragmatic design, and building scalable systems with AI as a core tool, not a pure ML/AI engineer track. Join a remote-first culture focused on engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Production software building and operation experience.
• Solid fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, and maintainability.
• Experience with large/complex codebases and SaaS web apps.
• Strong backend or full-stack with modern languages/frameworks.
• Knowledge of APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data.
• Proficient in automated testing and modern dev practices.
• Familiarity with cloud, CI/CD, and production ops.
• Ability to reason on trade-offs and own architecture decisions.
• Independent, product-minded with ownership in evolving product.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across the SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, and reliability issues for improvement.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI agents extensively.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, design, generate/refactor code, and test.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across stacks and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
• Improve workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across app, data, and infra layers.
• Balance speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into tech solutions.
• Help a small team achieve greater leverage through AI-assisted engineering.
