Job summary

Darwoft is seeking aSenior/Staff Software Engineer (AI-native) to join a remote LATAM team. You will design and evolve complex SaaS platforms, leveraging AI agents to accelerate delivery while maintaining software quality and long-term maintainability.

You will own architectural decisions, navigate large codebases, and build production-grade backend services. This role emphasizes ownership, pragmatism, and product-focused thinking in a fast-growing, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in building and operating production software systems.
• Excellent fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience working with large or complex existing codebases.
• Proficient in modern backend/full-stack development and SaaS products.
• Deep understanding of APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities for a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Leverage Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and similar AI agents throughout the lifecycle.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, integrations, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, and engineering practices.
