Canonical is seeking a Telecommunications Field Engineer to lead customers in OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined networking deployments. You will translate provider requirements into scalable telco cloud architectures and drive production readiness for 5G-related workloads.
This remote-based role spans the Americas and EMEA, with travel up to 25%. The position emphasizes automation, IaC, and collaborative customer success across global teams.
Formación
- Strong technical understanding of telco NFVi (VIM), NFVO, VNFM and MEC space and related cloud infra tech.
- Working knowledge of Linux, Networking, OpenStack and Kubernetes.
- Python for automation and scripting.
- Ability to lead complex projects from start to finish.
Responsabilidades
- Translate service provider requirements into telco cloud platform architectures for VNF/CNF workloads.
- Provide technical pre-sales consulting to service provider teams.
- Design and implement telco-grade private clouds and micro clouds.
- Demonstrate IaC techniques relevant to telco and cloud deployments.
- Architect and implement resilient Service Provider Cloud and application solutions.
