Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection invites a seasoned Snowflake Data Architect to join our global data team. Based in Buenos Aires with initial remote work, you will help design scalable Snowflake environments and data models that empower trusted insights across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include building ELT/ETL pipelines, managing security and governance, and collaborating with IT and analytics to optimize performance and costs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Data & Analytics experience with Snowflake.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Proven experience in RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Quality, Data Cataloging, Data Classification, implementing data warehousing solutions.
• SnowPro Core Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments across development, staging, and production.
• Manage virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and auto-scaling policies to control cost and performance.
• Administer RBAC, network policies, SSO/SAML integrations, and data masking policies.
• Monitor platform health, set up alerting, and drive incident response for data availability issues.
• Plan and execute Snowflake version upgrades and patch cycles.
• Design and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, tasks, streams, and dynamic tables.
• Architect and maintain data models (star/snowflake schemas, data vault) within Snowflake.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowpark (Python/Java/Scala) or partner tools (dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, ADF).
• Implement Snowflake features including zero-copy cloning, time travel, data sharing, and Marketplace integrations.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake Native Apps or Streamlit in Snowflake dashboards where required.
• Conduct query profiling and tuning using the Query Profile UI, EXPLAIN plans, and search optimization.
