Job summary

Epam Systems Inc. is hiring a remote contractor to join a live product team building workflow software. You will own one area end-to-end, from the server side (Azure SQL) to the frontend UI (React/TypeScript).

AI coding tools will draft specs and migrations, which you will review and direct. Expect four to five features per two‑week sprint, with a focus on delivering stable, production-ready work. You will report to studio leadership and collaborate with the lead developer and product manager,

Qualifications

• 4+ years building full-stack web apps in production.
• Experience learning and contributing to unfamiliar codebases.
• Hands-on with workflow software including permissions, task queues or state machines and audit logs/history.
• Proficient in React, TypeScript and SQL on Azure, including schema design/migrations.
• Daily use of AI coding tools in production with tests and CI behind it.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Experience delivering in fixed-scope sprints with branches, code review and feature flags.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new workflow features for a live product.
• Build server-side components from Azure SQL up to the API, and create React/TypeScript UI screens.
• Review AI-generated specs, tests, and migrations; guide AI copilots during merges.
• Maintain code quality with reviews, branching strategies, and feature flags.
• Aim for 4–5 features per sprint and own one area end-to-end without breaking live functionality.
