Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer for a fully remote, contractor role (~15 hours per week). You will design and implement backend services with Java and Spring Boot while building and maintaining the Angular frontend to connect with backend APIs.

The job emphasizes domain-driven design and high-quality RESTful APIs, in a flexible, people-first environment. You will work in a cross-functional squad, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability, with opportunities

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Angular.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills and transactional database experience.
• Passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain the Angular frontend connecting to backend logic.
• Architect RESTful APIs with clean, scalable patterns.
• Lead the transition to domain-driven design (DDD).
• Collaborate in cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features.
