Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is seeking a Data Engineer to join our IT Organization. You will design and maintain automated data transformation pipelines using a mix of Azure data services and big data tools to support data architecture design.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong analytical thinking, and hands-on experience with cloud ETL, Databricks, Python/Java, and DevOps practices. Relocation is possible for this role.

Competenze

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• +5 years in Data Engineer role.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python/Java, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud data architectures.

• Understand business data needs and stakeholder requirements to support processes and objectives.
• Leverage data, software engineering, and data science techniques to create value through data accessibility (ingestion, prep, analytics).
• Identify, acquire, cleanse, prepare, and store data; develop data products aligned with architecture patterns.
• Normalize and ingest data from multiple sources.
• Enable data scientists by providing ready-to-use data for analytics models and contribute to models.
• Collaborate with ML Engineer to scale and deploy solutions, including documentation, training, and integration.
• Contribute to inner-source development of foundational tools and to deployment of technical services.
