Job summary

Endava is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines powering cloud cost visibility, attribution, and performance insights for a Cloud Economics team.

You will build scalable ELT/ETL workflows using Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow across AWS services (Glue, Athena, Aurora) and Snowflake, optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost.

The role partners with Engineering and Finance to support cost optimization and usage-based decision making, in a 100% remote setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
• Proven experience building end-to-end ELT/ETL pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Hands-on AWS data ecosystem experience (Glue, Athena, Aurora).
• Experience with Snowflake and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and REST API integrations.
• Ability to optimize data pipelines for performance and cost.
• Strong analytical skills with data validation and auditing experience.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the Cloud Economics data pipelines and automation.
• Develop scalable ELT/ETL pipelines across AWS services and Snowflake.
• Model data and ingestion frameworks for telemetry and usage data.
• Create tooling enabling cost-aware decision-making for stakeholders.
• Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Finance on cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, validation, and end-to-end auditability.
