Prometeo Talent is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity startup to recruit a Senior Backend Engineer. The role emphasizes building scalable backend services in Java and Python, with a strong ownership mindset and a track record in production-grade systems.

You will work on distributed architectures, AI-assisted development workflows, and collaborate with a highly technical team in a fully remote LATAM-friendly environment.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications).
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level

The Opportunity
