Job summary

Tether is hiring a Mobile Engineer to join Keet Mobile, a React Native-based chat and calling app for iOS and Android. You will own features end-to-end, from UI/UX to integrating the P2P core, with Expo and a custom JS runtime for peer-to-peer use.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with React Native mobile development.
• Experience with Redux and Redux-Saga.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with native iOS/Android tools (Swift/Kotlin, Xcode/Android Studio).

Responsibilities

• Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup.
• Integrate native platform capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks on iOS and Android.
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery and network use.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests, and help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting.
• Collaborate with core P2P, design and product teams, reviewing code with high quality standards.
