Job summary

Tether is hiring a Mobile Engineer to advance Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling app built with React Native and Expo. You’ll contribute to a global, 100% remote team delivering a cutting-edge fintech experience across iOS and Android.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership of features, integrating native capabilities, optimizing performance, and working closely with design and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Experience with React Native and Expo for mobile development.
• Knowledge of Redux and Redux-Saga for state management.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and RESTful APIs for real‑time and backend communication.
• Experience with native languages (Swift/Kotlin) and build tools (Xcode/Android Studio) is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with remote teams and modernize mobile/web apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Keet Mobile, a React Native app for iOS and Android.
• Own features end to end from UI/UX to integration with P2P core APIs.
• Build and polish chat, voice/video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup features.
• Integrate push notifications, camera, biometrics, and background tasks on both platforms.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests; support CI and crash reporting; review code with teams.
