Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to lead desktop and mobile test automation, while owning manual testing efforts for our apps. You will integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure reliable test data and environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and maintain robust regression suites. We welcome candidates globally as part of a remote-first team and require strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual testing.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps on iOS/Android devices.
• Familiar with AI tools in QA to review outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands‑on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory:

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
