Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications. Build and maintain test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure fast, reliable quality across platforms.

You will investigate failures, report bugs clearly, work with developers on testability, perform functional, exploratory and regression testing, and decide when to use manual vs automated coverage based on risk.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web.
• WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps.
• Experience using AI tools in QA.
• Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands‑on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory:

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
