Canonical is hiring a Software Engineer to develop, test, and release improvements to the Ubuntu Pro client. You’ll work with the Ubuntu Server team and major cloud partners to enhance the Pro client, ensuring compatibility with Ubuntu releases and deb packaging practices.

You should have strong Python on Linux, an interest in open source, and be ready to contribute across edge cases, documentation, and user guidance while collaborating with global teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or equivalent required.
• Extensive experience with Python on Linux demonstrated in projects.
• Proficiency in Ubuntu Linux administration, CI, Debian packaging or cloud work.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
• Write high quality Python code with tests for new features.
• Debug issues and deliver reliable software.
• Review code written by peers and provide constructive feedback.
• Discuss ideas and investigate good solutions with the team.
• Work from home with 2–4 weeks of global travel yearly.
