Job summary

Kids Us is seeking a dynamic Backend Developer with strong Python expertise to build scalable backend systems and APIs for our core application. You will integrate third-party services via REST/GraphQL and work with both NoSQL and relational databases.

The role involves deploying services to AWS and exploring AI-based tooling to accelerate MVP delivery. Your experience should include 4+ years in Python, exposure to NoSQL/SQL databases, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Python development experience.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Proficiency with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with API integrations using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Strong English communication (Advanced/Bilingual).
• Node.js and/or Java experience (Nice to have).
• AWS services, Lambda and API Gateway (Nice to have).
• ML/Agentic AI awareness or hands-on (Nice to have).
• AI-powered code generation tools experience (Nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our core application.
• Integrate third-party services using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Work with NoSQL and relational databases, ensuring efficient data modeling and query performance.
• Collaborate with the team on deploying services to AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
• Suggest and experiment with AI-based tooling for rapid development and smart code generation.
• Bring fresh ideas and pragmatic solutions to enhance the backend architecture and development pipeline.
