Job summary

Strategic Systems International is seeking a dynamic Backend Developer with strong Python experience to build scalable backend systems and explore AI-powered tooling.

You'll develop and maintain backend services and APIs, integrate REST/GraphQL, work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and deploy services to AWS. Excellent English communication is required to collaborate effectively with the team and drive MVPs quickly.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• API integrations using REST and/or GraphQL.
• English communication at Advanced/Bilingual level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Integrate third-party services using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Work with NoSQL and relational databases with efficient data modeling and query performance.
• Collaborate with the team on deploying services to AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
• Suggest and experiment with AI-based tooling for rapid development and MVP creation.
• Bring fresh ideas to enhance backend architecture and development pipeline.
