Prometeo Talent is partnering with a U.S.-based client to hire a Data Analyst (Machine Learning) for remote LATAM work. The role focuses on turning large consumer and retail datasets into actionable insights with SQL and Python.

Ideal candidates have strong data manipulation skills, a numbers-driven mindset, and can translate technical results into clear summaries for stakeholders in English.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL with joins, aggregations and CASE logic.
• Python scripting for data cleaning, manipulation, and processing using pandas.
• Strong English writing and speaking to summarize results for stakeholders.
• Knowledge of scikit-learn or statsmodels for predictive modeling.
• Experience parsing and cleaning messy text fields.
• Understanding relational DB design and data normalization.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries to extract data from relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• Develop, run, and validate ML, predictive, or statistical models to uncover insights and forecast trends.
• Slice and aggregate raw data to calculate core metrics like market trends and share.
• Build and maintain clean data tables and views feeding dashboards and reports.
• Review outputs, audit data, and verify logic before insights are shared.
• Use filtering to segment data and isolate cohorts for tracking.
• Parse and categorize unstructured text data.
• Translate technical results into clear summaries for English-speaking stakeholders.
