Angel City VA Recruitment seeks a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join the team remotely. You will handle billing processes, ensure accurate coding, submit claims to insurers, and follow up on outstanding payments to optimize revenue cycles.

The ideal candidate has experience with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, medical billing software, EHR systems, and a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to collaborate with medical staff.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing software and EHR systems; familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.

Responsabilidades

• Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and medical records for accuracy and completeness
• Accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
• Submit insurance claims and follow up on denials or rejections to ensure timely reimbursement
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies
• Manage patient billing and accounts receivable, including generating and sending invoices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, billing regulations, and compliance requirements
• Prepare reports on billing activities, collections, and account statuses as needed
