Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines in a fully remote role. You will drive the development of streaming and batch processing solutions in a modern cloud environment, focusing on data quality and performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python and GCP skills, and experience with ETL/ELT, Airflow/Composer, and data modeling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
• Proven expertise in designing streaming data pipelines and robust ETL/ELT workflows.
• Solid understanding of workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Architect and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using cloud-native services and orchestrators.
• Develop and optimize high-performance data models for downstream analytics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate diverse datasets and ensure data quality.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve pipeline performance.
