Job summary

Félix is seeking a Fraud Investigator to own monitoring of fraud rings, use external intelligence tools like Axur, and deepen investigations from data pulls to case resolution. You will collaborate with Operations and Strategy to mitigate attacks, while training junior teammates and documenting methodologies.

The role requires strong English, SQL basics, dashboards experience, and a passion for uncovering fraud patterns in a fast-paced, remote-to-hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from any Business Major.
• Fluent in English (oral & written).
• Proven experience in fraud investigation and transaction monitoring, including ownership of complex cases
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies and modus operandi.
• Strong analytical thinking and data storytelling — able to identify fraud rings through aggregated data (dashboards, alerts) as well as through deep-dive investigations.
• Data resourcefulness: SQL, dashboards, and AI tools.
• Basic SQL: core commands and simple queries.
• Experience building and monitoring dashboards for ongoing fraud detection
• Intermediate Excel for pivot tables and charts.
• Experience with G Suite products.
• Strong communication skills — translate technical findings for non-specialists.
• Curiosity and documentation habit.
• Willingness to join rotating on-call schedule for select weekends.
• Adaptive to fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Axur is a plus.
• Hands-on AI-assisted investigations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own fraud ring and fraud attack monitoring and block suspicious users.
• Manage external intelligence tools (e.g., Axur) and translate signals into preventive actions.
• Reverse-engineer fraud MO and surface rings via labeled data.
• Share rapid insights to mitigate losses across teams.
• Write SQL queries and build dashboards to support investigations.
• Handle high-complexity cases end-to-end with autonomy.
• Act as SME on fraud typologies and emerging threats.
• Review transactions and chargebacks on new product/country launches.
• Handle stakeholder escalations and deep-dive investigations.
• Support and train junior investigators and document methodologies.
• Participate in process improvements and fraud prevention initiatives.
