Muttdata, a remote-first data science and ML startup, seeks a proactive Data Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end cloud data engagements. You’ll direct cross-functional teams of data engineers and data scientists, plan milestones, manage risk, and ensure projects meet budget and scope while delivering high-quality data solutions.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in IT project delivery, strong cloud data stack experience, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients

Formación

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of IT experience delivering projects and interfacing with stakeholders.
• 2+ years of experience leading cloud data engagements (data migration, data lake/warehouse, data engineering, or data science).
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data stacks (Databricks, Spark, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with PM tools (Jira, Trello, Zoho Projects, Redmine).
• Experience implementing Agile engineering project practices.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Experience with Databricks-based cloud data engagements and with regulated industries.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-end project planning & delivery – define scope, objectives, and plans with stakeholders, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Team leadership – assemble and lead cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, etc.).
• Tracking & reporting – monitor progress and implement stakeholder reporting mechanisms.
• Risk management & governance – establish governance, identify risks, and develop mitigations.
• Quality & continuous improvement – maintain docs, promote best practices, stay updated with cloud trends.
