Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on tracking or web analytics experience in a marketing or agency environment.
• Intermediate experience with GTM containers, trigger and variable creation, data layer implementation, and server-side tagging.
• Practical experience planning, deploying, and troubleshooting conversion tracking across major ad platforms, with working knowledge of pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) configuration for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Hands-on GA4 experience, including event configuration, key events, and DebugView.
• Comfort with HTML, CSS selectors, and basic JavaScript for tag troubleshooting and custom script implementation, and skilled use of GTM Preview mode and browser developer tools (inspect element, network tab).
• Understanding of data privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA) and consent management platforms, and of how tracking decisions affect Paid Media performance KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Own tag management & deployment — deploy, configure, and maintain pixels, tags, and scripts in GTM; build and maintain data layers; manage container structure, triggers, and variables across multi-client environment; implement server-side tagging where it improves measurement.
• Own conversion tracking & platform integration — connect website activity to paid ad platforms using browser pixels and Conversion APIs; configure events for reporting and optimization; maintain event tracking in GA4 from click to CRM entry.
• Own QA, debugging & data integrity — audit broken tags, dropped events, and data discrepancies; troubleshoot mismatches between ad platforms, GA4, and CRM; run routine tag health audits and verify via Events Manager/DebugView.
• Own data privacy compliance — manage cookie banners and consent mode; align tracking with GDPR/CCPA; monitor platform/browser changes affecting tracking durability.
• Support documentation & cross-team enablement — maintain tagging plans, naming conventions, QA checklists; translate requirements into tracking solutions; document setups for internal teams.
