Job summary

Talan Group is seeking a Big Data Developer to join a dynamic data team and contribute to data processing solutions within the Client Contribution platform. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes and Spark-based pipelines.

You will collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders in an Agile environment, ensure data quality and performance, and support reporting with Qlik Sense. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional data development experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge: ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL.
• Hands-on Spark and at least one language: Scala, Python, or Java.
• Experience with a Big Data environment: Azure Databricks, EMR, Hive, or Cloudera.
• Experience with Qlik Sense and BI/reporting.
• Experience in Agile, CI, and DevOps environments.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus.
• English level: B2+ or higher.

We are looking for a Big Data Developer to join a dynamic data team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of data processing solutions within the Client Contribution platform.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Big Data, Spark, SQL, and data transformation, combined with hands-on experience in a modern Big Data environment such as Azure Databricks, Amazon EMR, Hive, or Cloudera. You will work closely with both technical and functional stakeholders in an Agile environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of data solutions and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• 3+ years of professional experience in data development and programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Apache Spark and hands‑on experience with at least one programming language:

• Experience with Qlik Sense and reporting solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and analyze requirements and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• English level: B2+ or higher.
