Job summary

Maxana seeks a hands-on backend engineer to own the payments logic on a TypeScript/Golang service. You’ll implement subscription flows, renewals, credits, and ensure webhook reliability in a real-time payments context.

Collaborate with payment processors via APIs like Stripe/Adyen, write automated tests, and occasionally perform lightweight React work where checkout screens meet APIs. This fully remote role offers LATAM-friendly hours and long-term engagement paid in USD.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production backend TypeScript/Golang experience.
• Hands-on payments/billing/subscriptions/checkout or PSP integrations.
• Comfort with event-driven and asynchronous processing.
• AI-assisted development as part of normal workflow.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Availability during US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain subscription, renewal, and credit logic in a TypeScript service.
• Own webhook reliability and payment-event correctness end to end.
• Work with payment processor and orchestration APIs — auth/capture, refunds, retries.
• Write automated tests; handle edge cases for multi-cycle renewals.
• Occasional light React work where APIs meet the checkout screens.
