About the Role

    • Research applicable federal and state requirements affecting WBL's lending, servicing, and corporate operations.
    • Monitor legal and regulatory developments involving usury, licensing, disclosures, and related obligations.
    • Prepare clear summaries of changes, affected business processes, effective dates, and recommended next steps for review by the Team Lead or legal counsel.
    • Update the regulatory obligations inventory and track assigned implementation actions through completion.
  • Licensing, Filings, and Examinations

    • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records of submissions, approvals, correspondence, and follow‑up commitments.
  • Business and Policy Support
    • Assist with regulatory reviews of new products, processes, vendors, and jurisdictional expansion.
    • Compare requirements against current policies, procedures, disclosures, and operational practices and identify potential gaps.
    • Coordinate with Operations, Lending, Servicing, Finance, and other teams to gather facts and implementation evidence.
    • Support updates to policies, procedures, guidance, training materials, and regulatory reference tools.
  • Reporting and Process Improvement

    • Maintain standardized research files, trackers, checklists, templates, and workflows.
    • Protect confidential and privileged information and follow documented quality‑control requirements.
Requirements

    • Experience researching rules, maintaining regulatory calendars, preparing filings, or supporting examinations is preferred.
