Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality laboratory and develop its QC team at the Peru plant. You will collaborate with plant management to address quality issues, implement strategic vision for quality control, and drive improvements in processes, systems, and culture.

The role emphasizes testing oversight, data analysis, corrective actions, and training to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management.
• 5+ years of management in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of statistical process control.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops laboratory technicians to ensure QA, QC, and team capability (40%).
• Troubleshoots and resolves quality issues through data analysis and corrective action (30%).
• Supports corporate quality systems and standards to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction (20%).
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives (10%).
