Sovos Latinoamérica is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure products and services deliver seamless, fully integrated experiences for customers. You will collaborate with Sovos customers and cross-functional teams, applying QA concepts within Sovos SDLC to improve product quality.

In this role you will execute automated tests, develop basic test scripts, and contribute to test plans while aligning with global QA practices and production readiness across departments.

Formación

• 0-2 years of QA or related experience.
• Familiar with QA concepts and SDLC.
• Able to work in a team and communicate clearly.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases.
• Proactive and organized.

Responsabilidades

• Execute automated test cases and understand outcomes.
• Create and maintain basic automated tests and monitor outputs.
• Observe leaders in day to day activities and apply learnings.
• Understand Sovos Org Structure & roles and responsibilities.
• Understand departments and how they impact Product Development.
• Align with Sovos Global QA practices and understand the high-level workflow of products.
• Ensure relevant sprint information is communicated to scrum team members.
• Respect team members and their individual perspectives and earn trust of team members.
• Keep team members informed regarding activities Status and blockers.
• Understand development lifecycle including branching/merging technique utilized by the team.
• Testing Concepts including Black Box Testing, Unit Tests, Integration Tests, Automated Tests, and Regression Tests.
• Processes and responsibilities for delivering code to Production.
• Create test scenarios and execute test suite.

Position Summary

As a QA Engineer you will work closely with Sovos customers and team members to ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer. A QA Engineer understands basic QA concepts and Sovos SDLC.

• Align with Sovos Global QA practices and understand the high-level workflow of products.

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics majors, graduation from Technical School, or equivalent work experience required
• 0-2 years’ experience
• Ability to perform in a team
• Understand tools critical to software development
• Efficient use of SDLC tools
• Basic knowledge on relational databases
• Detailed oriented and organized person
• Complies with company policies/decisions
• Open minded and adjusts to work within QA good practices and procedures
