Beyond, a global technology group, is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer in Argentina to join the Americas team. You will develop backend services in Python, build AI-enabled features on GCP, and collaborate with global colleagues to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

You will work with FastAPI/Flask/Django, Docker and Terraform, participate in design, testing, and deployment, and grow in a fast-paced environment where innovation and accountability matter.

Formación

• 2–3 years of backend development experience or relevant academic/project work.
• Strong Python understanding and familiarity with web frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Basic exposure to Google Cloud Platform and its services.
• Interest in AI/ML and integrating LLMs into apps.
• Good English communication and collaborative skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop core backend logic in Python to support high-scale platforms.
• Implement AI features and integrate LLMs using Vertex AI or similar.
• Design scalable cloud infra on GCP with Run, GKE, and Functions.
• Contribute to technical design documents and translate requirements.

We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python, Google Cloud Platform and AI solutions to join our Americas team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend systems that power AI-driven applications for our enterprise clients in North America.

Based in Argentina, you will be a key contributor to the regional engineering team, translating client requirements into high-quality technical deliverables. You will focus on building generative AI features and cloud-native services while collaborating with our global engineering teams in Europe.

As a Backend Engineer at Beyond, you'll

• Develop Core Logic: Write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code in Python to support high-scale content platforms and data-intensive applications.
• Implement AI Features: Assist in building and deploying AI features, such as RAG pipelines and LLM integrations using Vertex AI, following established architectural patterns.
• Engineer Cloud Infrastructure: Design and configure scalable backend architectures on GCP, utilizing Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions with a focus on performance and observability.
• Contribute to Technical Design: Participate in the creation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and help translate business requirements into functional backend components.
• Deploy & Automate: Manage the full lifecycle of your code, from local development to production, leveraging Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate Globally: Work closely with US-based product owners and European delivery teams, requiring a proactive communication style and flexibility for early-morning syncs.
• Ensure Quality: Champion best practices in API design, security, and automated testing to ensure the reliability of enterprise-level deployments.

What Success Looks Like

• Engineering Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in backend development, or relevant academic/project experience with a strong interest in backend engineering and web services.
• Python Knowledge: Good understanding of Python and familiarity with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Basic understanding of asynchronous programming is a plus.
• GCP Knowledge: Basic understanding or hands‑on exposure to Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with services such as Cloud Run, App Engine, BigQuery, or Cloud SQL is a plus.
• AI/ML Interest: Interest in AI/ML technologies and curiosity about integrating LLMs into applications. Any exposure to LLMs, APIs, or vector databases is a plus.
• DevOps Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Docker and familiarity with cloud-based development environments. Exposure to Kubernetes or Terraform is a plus.
• Communication: Good English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and ask questions when needed.
