Bluelight Consulting is seeking an experienced project manager to lead software development efforts for a fast-growing team. You will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage timelines and budgets, and oversee risk and dependency registers across multiple concurrent workstreams.

The role requires strong communication skills, a track record delivering on fixed deadlines, and the ability to align technical work with business goals in a dynamic environment.

• 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience managing scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple workstreams.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines).
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management and translating technical concepts for non-technical clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
