Job summary

Meitner Energy in Dallas is seeking a security engineer to own platform security and governance for our AI-enabled nuclear platform. You will implement access controls, DLP, audit trails, and vulnerability management across the platform, balancing regulatory requirements with practical engineering.

The role coordinates with legal/compliance and IT, works with external monitoring partners, and shapes security posture from day one, including incident response for AI systems and model access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/InfoSec/Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of professional experience in security engineering, security operations, or governance.
• Hands-on experience implementing SSO, MFA, RBAC/ABAC, and secrets management in production environments.
• Working knowledge of federal information-protection control frameworks and evidence requirements.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) or managed detection tooling and external monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Platform Security Engineering: implement SSO/MFA, access control, DLP, immutable audit logging, secrets management, and vulnerability management across the platform.
• Export Control & Compliance: maintain control mappings and audit-ready artifacts for regulators and external assessors.
• Corporate Security Coordination: align with Global IT, manage external monitoring partnerships, and communicate security policy across sites.
