Yalo Inc. in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead our Core Services Platform. You will own architecture, drive reliability, and work with teams to integrate new systems and features across channels and messaging pipelines.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring, and building scalable, event-driven backends using Go, Python, and Kafka, with GCP, Kubernetes, and IaC. You will shape design reviews, improve observability, and optimize costs while collaborating

Qualificações

• 8+ years in building and operating back-end services with staff-level engineering or tech lead experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture of Core Services, including channel and webhook pipeline, accounts, identity, and entitlements.
• Lead technical delivery, scope work, unblock engineers, and review designs and code.
• Utilize AI coding agents for implementation, testing, and review, while maintaining high PR throughput.
• Ensure reliability and observability with clear team ownership, dashboards, alerts, and on-call incident response.
• Lead platform migrations and govern event and message schemas safely.
• Integrate external platform changes and manage billing and credits models.
• Monitor costs and collaborate with DevOps to optimize spending and reduce waste.
• Mentor team members, set standards, and document design reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align platform capabilities with product needs.
