Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support a family near Billingshurst. You will assist the employer and their two children with activities, transport, meals, and light duties around the home. This varied role includes some personal care and occasional nursery drop-offs, in a warm, supportive environment.

Hours are 32 per week, Monday to Friday, on-site, with potential to share shifts. A wheelchair-accessible car is available.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK required.
• DBS/check may be requested.
• Non-smoker preferred or willing to refrain during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Move and handle with care for children and family needs.
• Provide personal care and light domestic duties.
• Transport and accompany children to activities and nursery.
• Prepare meals and snacks; manage feeding and bottle/pumping support as needed.
• Engage children in activities; plan and supervise playtime and outings.
• Assist with potty training, diaper changes, and basic child care routines.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness around the home; tidy after activities.
