Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking an HR Associate — Payroll Accounting in Argentina to own payroll accounting, controls, and month-end activities for the local team. You will partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll to validate inputs, reconcile contributions, and ensure a timely financial close.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with reconciliations and payroll systems, and a proactive mindset to drive process improvements, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in Argentina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR, or related field.
• Verbal and written English proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Finance with payroll focus.
• Strong understanding of Argentina payroll concepts and statutory contributions.
• Experience with reconciliations, validations, and exception management.
• Proficient with HR/Payroll platforms and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Process improvement, standardization, and automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll accounting analysis across salaries, statutory and social contributions, and other compensation elements; validate calculations and postings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review reconciliations between HR/Payroll systems and Finance ledgers; investigate variances, remediate exceptions, and document resolutions.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Payroll on month-end close activities, ensuring timelines, approvals, and controls are met; support accruals and true-ups as needed.
• Monitor compliance with Argentina labor and social security requirements as they relate to payroll accounting; translate regulatory changes into control updates.
• Build, maintain, and execute control checklists and validations across the payroll cycle; evidence controls for audit and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and track operational and control metrics; identify root causes of recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
• Lead or contribute to process-improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, standardization, and automation of payroll accounting workflows.
• Produce management reporting and dashboards that summarize variances, risks, and control status for stakeholders.
