Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Sr. Machinery Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems, performing complex diagnostics and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.

The role is for experienced staff who can work autonomously, with supervision only in non-routine situations. Must support safety and standard operating procedures while contributing to Downtime reduction and asset care.

Qualifications

• Vocational training (or equivalent) and several years of relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document findings.
• Replace or fabricate parts as needed.
• Maintain tools and ensure safe working conditions.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime.

About The Role

Job Summary

The Sr. Machinery Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This role performs complex diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization.
