JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer to own Endevor platform administration, CI/CD pipelines, and wrapper services across development, testing, and production environments.

You will build and govern the Endevor inventory model, automate builds with Python and REXX, and integrate with Jenkins pipelines and API/CLI wrappers. The role emphasizes security controls, traceability, and disaster recovery.

• Experience with Endevor platform administration across dev/test/prod.
• Knowledge of Endevor inventory model and SDLC alignment.
• Experience building deterministic build flows and wrapper services.
• Experience developing Python automation and wrapper tooling.
• Experience with REXX utilities for z/OS automation.
• Experience implementing Jenkins pipelines and API/CLI wrappers.
• Understanding of security controls and audit logging in Endevor environments.
• Ability to map commit/build IDs to Endevor identifiers for traceability.

Responsabilidades

• Own Endevor platform administration and configuration across dev/test/prod.
• Engineer and govern the Endevor inventory model aligned to SDLC and release governance.
• Configure and maintain processors to enable deterministic builds and middleware hooks.
• Build Endevor automation interfaces via APIs/CLI wrappers and custom wrappers.
• Develop Python automation to orchestrate Endevor lifecycle actions and publish results.
• Develop REXX utilities for z/OS automation and integration with wrappers.
• Implement Jenkins pipelines invoking Endevor via API/CLI wrappers with secure credentials.
• Define quality gates and policy controls in pipelines before promotion.
• Establish end-to-end traceability and provenance for builds, promotions, and artifacts.
• Administer security controls across Endevor and wrappers with least privilege.
• Monitor and tune Endevor health and performance, and troubleshoot complex failures across toolchain.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks, DR procedures, and onboarding guidance.

Technical responsibilities — Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer (CA-Endevor + CI/CD; API/CLI + custom wrappers; REXX & Python)

• OwnCA-Endevor platform administration and configurationacross dev/test/prod: tasks/STCs, repository connectivity, libraries, SMP/E maintenance, upgrades, and currency management.
• Engineer and govern theEndevor inventory model(environments/systems/subsystems/types/stages/mappings) aligned to SDLC, release governance, and separation of duties.
• Configure and maintainprocessors / generate proceduresto enable deterministic builds (compile/link/edit flows, copybook/include handling, and middleware hooks such as DB2/CICS/IMS where applicable).
• Build and maintainEndevor automation interfacesusing supportedAPIs/CLIpluscustom wrapper services/scripts, including versioning, backward compatibility, error contracts, and usage standards.
• DevelopPython automation and wrapper toolingto orchestrate Endevor lifecycle actions (create/update packages, move/generate/promote), capture metadata/evidence, integrate with approvals, and publish results to downstream systems.
• DevelopREXX utilitiesfor z/OS-side automation (inventory queries, dataset/member validation, job/JCL generation, operational tooling, exception reporting), integrating with wrapper interfaces where needed.
• Implement and supportJenkins pipelines (pipeline-as-code)that invoke Endevor viaAPI/CLI wrappers, manage credentials securely, submit/monitor batch steps when required, and enforce promotion sequencing.
• Define and enforcequality gates and policy controlsin pipelines: compile success, test execution where feasible, static analysis, dependency checks, and required approvals before promote.
• Implementtraceability and provenanceend-to-end: map commit/build IDs to Endevor element/package identifiers, capture promotion history, label builds/releases, and support audit evidence retrieval.
• Administersecurity controlsacross Endevor + wrappers (RACF/ACF2/TSS + Endevor ACLs): least privilege, privileged access management patterns, and audit logging for API/CLI actions.
• Monitor and tuneEndevor operational health and performance: task health, API/CLI throughput, contention/ENQs, backlog/queue behavior, repository growth, and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex failures across the toolchain (processor failures, package conflicts, wrapper/API errors, Jenkins pipeline breaks, inventory drift), deliveringRCAand implementing preventive fixes.
• Maintaindocumentation and standards: API/CLI wrapper contracts, REXX/Python code standards, pipeline templates, runbooks, DR procedures, and onboarding guidance for application teams.
• Define, test, and executebackup/restore and DRprocedures for Endevor repositories, critical datasets, and wrapper components, including routine DR exercises and validation evidence.
