Job summary

Hire Hangar, Inc. is hiring an experienced SEO Lead to scale delivery for a portfolio of home-services clients across the US. The role is hands-on, with ownership of local SEO, GBP, content direction, technical SEO, and link-building coordination.

You’ll work with content, development, paid media, and strategy teams to execute a clear SEO plan and drive measurable organic growth. Remote role with US time-zone alignment and collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or multi-client environment.
• Proven success improving local SEO performance for service-area businesses (map pack + organic).
• Experience improving Google Business Profile rankings and local visibility.
• Familiarity with multi-location SEO structures and expansion support.
• Solid technical SEO foundation: auditing, indexing, CWV, schema basics.
• Strong WordPress on-page optimization and plugin usage.
• Ability to produce clear briefs, action plans and performance reporting.
• Excellent organization and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own SEO strategy and execution for a portfolio of home-services clients.
• Create and maintain roadmaps for technical, content, local visibility, and GBP.
• Build scalable SEO processes, QA checks and reporting standards.
• Stay updated on Google algorithm changes and local ranking factors.
• Improve GBP rankings across service cities through repeatable optimizations.
• Coordinate content plans for service and location pages and blogs.
• Collaborate with writers (human & AI-assisted) to maintain standards.
• Track backlinks, authority metrics and recommend improvements.
• Run technical audits and work with WordPress to fix issues.
• Use GA4, GSC and tools to track performance and report progress.
• Coordinate with paid media/strategy teams to align growth priorities.
• Explain SEO priorities clearly to internal stakeholders.
