Job summary

SunnyData is seeking a Lead Tech Recruiter to drive end-to-end recruitment for Data & AI roles across LATAM. You will act as an informal lead for the LATAM recruiting team, partnering with the VP of Talent Acquisition to shape hiring strategy and outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in tech recruiting, 2+ years leading a small team, and a strong focus on candidate experience and process improvement. English proficiency and cross-border LATAM experience are essential.

Lead Tech Recruiter (LATAM)

Reports to: VP of Talent Acquisition

We are seeking an experienced Lead Tech Recruiter with 5 or more years of recruiting experience to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, curious, and a continuous learner. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in sourcing, engaging, and hiring top Data & AI talent. You will drive the recruitment process from start to finish. You will also act as an informal lead for our LATAM recruiting team. Responsibilities:

• Source and attract top Data & AI talent through a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and talent pools.

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle.

• Act as an informal lead for the LATAM recruiting team, in partnership with the VP of Talent Acquisition.

• Coach and mentor recruiters on sourcing, screening, and candidate experience.

• Help set weekly priorities and balance reqs across the team.

• Track pipeline and recruiting metrics and share progress and risks with the VP of Talent Acquisition.

• Share best practices and help improve recruiting processes.

• Recruit for Data & AI roles such as Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, Machine Learning Engineers, Full Stack Developers, and Technical Product Managers.

• Conduct interviews and assess candidates for technical skills, consulting skills, cultural fit, and overall potential.

• Partner with hiring managers and delivery leaders to understand the needs of each role.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

• Stay current with Data & AI trends, the Databricks ecosystem, and competitive recruiting strategies.

• Work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, helping to shape the growth of the company.

• Balance multiple roles at once while ensuring a positive experience for all candidates.

Qualifications:

• Ideally based in Uruguay or Argentina.

• 5+ years of experience recruiting for Tech roles.

• 2+ years of experience leading a small recruiting team, in a formal or informal lead role.

• Experience coaching and mentoring junior recruiters.

• Experience setting team priorities and distributing reqs across a team.

• Experience using recruiting metrics to track progress and guide team decisions.

• Experience recruiting in LATAM, across multiple countries in the region.

• Experience recruiting in a consulting or professional services environment.

• Proven track record of recruiting for Data & AI roles, including Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, Machine Learning Engineers, Full Stack Developers, and Technical Product Managers.

• Ability to understand technical concepts and assess technical skills at a screening level.

• A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a focus on practical results.

• Natural curiosity and a strong desire to keep learning about new technologies and markets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.

• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple roles at the same time.

• Advanced English level.

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of Databricks and the modern data platform landscape.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
