Job summary

EPAM Systems in Argentina is seeking a hands-on Lead Java Automation Test Engineer with strong retail/eCommerce experience to drive quality across Web/UI, Mobile, APIs/Backend, Data and Integrations.

You will own end-to-end quality, design and execute tests, leverage Generative AI and agentic QE approaches, and lead distributed QE teams while collaborating with Product, Engineering and Data partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QE experience in retail/eCommerce.
• Hands-on testing across Web, Mobile, API, Data.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Automation using Playwright/Selenium, Appium and API testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and cloud/data platforms.
• Strong ownership and cross-functional communication.
• Excellent English, B2+ level.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality from requirements through production readiness.
• Design and execute testing across Web/UI, Mobile, API/Backend, Data, and integrated systems.
• Use AI/LLMs and agentic QE approaches for test design, automation, impact analysis, defect investigation, and productivity improvements.
• Perform SQL/data validation, execute and monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot data/integration issues.
• Build and maintain UI, API, Mobile, and Data automation integrated with CI/CD.
• Understand complex retail customer journeys and validate interactions across upstream/downstream systems.
• Drive risk assessment, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and release readiness.
• Partner effectively with Product, Engineering, Data, and other QE teams and provide technical leadership to distributed teams.

The candidate should be comfortable working across multiple domains and adapting to the testing needs of different product teams.

Responsibilities

• Use AI/LLMs and agentic QE approaches for test design, automation, impact analysis, defect investigation, and productivity improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of QE experience with strong retail/eCommerce domain knowledge
• Hands-on experience across Web, Mobile, API/Backend, and Data testing
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI coding tools, and agentic workflows
• Automation experience with Playwright/Selenium, Appium, and API automation frameworks or equivalent
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern cloud/data platforms
• Strong troubleshooting, ownership, and cross-functional communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)
