Flexhire is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and operationalize a new Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. You will lead deployment within AWS, ensure security, reliability, and operational best practices, and collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
The role emphasizes hands-on Kubernetes management, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps with Argo CD, Terraform, and scripting in Bash, Python or Go.

MUST HAVES
- 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering experience.
- 4+ years supporting Kubernetes in production environments.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and operating AWS-hosted applications.
- Experience leading technical implementation efforts with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm.
- Strong experience with Argo CD and Service Mesh technologies.
- Strong experience with ingress controllers, container networking, storage and persistence, and cluster operations and upgrades.
- Strong experience with AWS services, including VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, Route 53, ALB/NLB, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager, and Systems Manager Parameter Store.
- Experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform.
- Experience with Bash, Python, or Go.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with one or more of the following CNCF ecosystem technologies: Cilium, Hubble, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, OpenTelemetry, Karpenter, Crossplane, Kyverno, Tetragon, ExternalDNS, and cert-manager.
- Experience with Backstage, Internal Developer Platforms, Self-Service Infrastructure, Golden Path Engineering, and Environment Automation.

- Experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to cloud-hosted Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting healthcare, medical device, HIPAA, or regulated environments.
