Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to run a one-person DevOps function for a multi-tenant SaaS platform in insurance and financial services.

You will support ~18 .NET microservices and an Angular SSR UI on Microsoft Azure across dev/demo/UAT/prod in primary and DR regions while enabling 30+ developers across five teams. Responsibilities include administering Azure services, maintaining AKS build agents, implementing IaC, and sustaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience on production SaaS platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Gateway, WAF, Key Vault, Storage.
• Hands-on with AKS and self-hosted build agents.
• IaC experience using ARM templates and PowerShell.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and GitHub workflows.
• Incident analysis using Kusto and Kudu diagnostics.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow change processes and security tooling.
• FinOps experience for cost allocation and capacity sizing.
• English proficiency at B2+ level.

Responsibilities

• Administer Azure services (App Services, Gateway, WAF, Key Vault, Storage, DNS, Insights).
• Maintain AKS-hosted build agents and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement IaC with ARM templates and PowerShell in shared templates.
• Manage Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and GitHub repos/policies.
• Troubleshoot incidents and reduce throttling in pipelines.
• Analyze production incidents with Kusto/Kudu.
• Coordinate changes via ServiceNow CHG records.
• Track vulnerability remediation and security tooling.
• Support FinOps activities and capacity sizing.
