Perficient is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join our LATAM team as a Senior Technical Consultant. You will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from estimating and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support of client applications.

You will work with solution architects and leads, applying Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Pipelines, PySpark, Power BI and CI/CD practices in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• 3 years of application development experience with Azure data tech.
• Strong debugging, problem solving and communication skills; Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Develop applications in Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Pipelines, PySpark or SQL notebooks in Fabric Lakehouse, and Power BI semantic models with DAX optimization.
• Collaborate with team members and Leads; follow CI/CD and Git workflows.

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
• Develop applications in languages including:
• Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Pipelines (delta lake, incremental loads)
  PySpark or SQL notebooks in Fabric Lakehouse
  Power BI semantic model design, DAX optimization, DirectLake performance tuning
  Git & GitHub pull‑request workflow, YAML-based CI/CD
  Familiarity with sensitivity labels and DLP impacts on semantic models
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.

Qualifications

• Passionate coder with 3 years of application development experience.
• Breadth of experience with:
• Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Pipelines (delta lake, incremental loads)
  PySpark or SQL notebooks in Fabric Lakehouse
  Power BI semantic model design, DAX optimization, DirectLake performance tuning
  Git & GitHub pull‑request workflow, YAML-based CI/CD
  Familiarity with sensitivity labels and DLP impacts on semantic models
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
