Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager for Pilar, Argentina, to lead Quality Control operations and oversee external labs across Chile and Uruguay. The role drives transformation, a new laboratory build, and the lab of the future with digitalization and automation.

You will shape QC strategy, manage capacity and equipment lifecycle, and partner with global experts to ensure quality, compliance, and uninterrupted patient support.

Formación

• Degree in Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries.
• Significant experience leading Quality Control laboratory operations and teams.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide end-to-end leadership of the Quality Control laboratory and ensure compliant, reliable testing operations.

You will have the rare opportunity to lead the design and implementation of a new laboratory that will support future business growth, product launches, and innovation across the cluster.

Once the project is well running, the next phase will include the responsibility as **Lab Manager:** you will lead the Quality Control laboratory operations at our Pilar site in Argentina while providing oversight of qualified third-party laboratories supporting Chile and Uruguay.

**What You Will Lead**

**Laboratory Operations**

• + Provide end-to-end leadership of the Quality Control laboratory.
• + Ensure compliant, reliable, and efficient testing operations that support product quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuity of supply.
• + Lead laboratory strategy, capacity planning, equipment lifecycle management, and operational performance.
• + Support product launches, analytical method transfers, and business growth initiatives.

**Cluster Laboratory Oversight**

• + Provide Quality and operational oversight for qualified external laboratories supporting Chile and Uruguay.
• + Ensure appropriate governance, compliance, service performance, and risk management across the cluster.
• + Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted support to the business and patients.

**New Laboratory Design & Implementation**

• + Lead one of the most strategic transformation programs in the region: the design, construction, qualification, and operational readiness of a new laboratory.
• + Define future-state capabilities, workflows, technologies, automation opportunities, and operating models.
• + Ensure a successful transition while maintaining strong performance and compliance within current operations.
• + Partner with local, regional, and global experts throughout the project lifecycle.

**Continuous Improvement & Innovation**

• + Drive digitalization, automation, operational excellence, and laboratory transformation initiatives.
• + Identify opportunities to improve quality, compliance, service, efficiency, and productivity.
• + Leverage data, technology, and best practices to build the laboratory of the future.

**Qualifications**

**Required**

• + Degree in Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.
• + 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries.
• + Significant experience leading Quality Control laboratory operations and teams.
• + Strong knowledge of GMP, Quality Systems, laboratory compliance, and data integrity.
• + Demonstrated people leadership experience.
• + Experience leading complex projects, organizational change, or business transformation initiatives.
• + Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Portuguese is a plus.

**Preferred**

• + Experience with laboratory design, relocation, expansion, or startup projects.
• + Experience with automation, digital laboratory systems, and operational excellence initiatives.
• + Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management, or related certifications.
• + Experience working in global and matrix organizations.
