Job summary

AgileEngine in Argentina is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services, automation workflows, and Salesforce API integrations supporting a GTM data platform and AI-assisted sales automation initiatives.

You will develop REST APIs and webhook-based lead routing, integrate with Salesforce APIs including EVO and Omnichannel, and contribute to AI SDR automation using Java or Python in an Agile sprint environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services, automation workflows, and Salesforce API integrations supporting a GTM data platform and AI-assisted sales automation initiatives. You will develop REST APIs and webhook-based lead routing systems, integrate with Salesforce APIs including EVO and Omnichannel, and contribute to AI SDR automation workflows using Java or Python in an Agile sprint environment. The role requires 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Salesforce platform development or API integration expertise.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and maintain backend services and automation workflows (Java / Python / microservices).
• Develop and integrate with Salesforce APIs (EVO, Omnichannel, lead assignment rules).
• Support AI SDR automation — including Ghost User setup, Calendly integration, webhook-based lead routing.
• Contribute to the GTM data platform codebase.
• Work within an agile sprint process with a JIRA-based backlog (GTMDR project).

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience in Backend engineering: Java OR Python.
• REST API integration and webhook development.
• Experience with CRM automation and lead routing systems.
• Familiarity with agile delivery and JIRA.

NICE TO HAVES

• Salesforce Apex, Calendly API, or experience building AI-assisted sales tooling.

• Experience in Serverless Solutions and Azure Integration Deep experience building solutions with Serverless and Azure Integration , including Functions and Logic Apps for event-driven systems.
• Azure Functions Hands-on expertise in developing serverless computing solutions. Working with triggers (HTTP, Timer, Queue, Event Grid). Utilizing bindings , function apps , scaling strategies, and local development using Azure Functions Core Tools .
• Azure Logic Apps Extensive experience with iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service). Building workflows via the visual designer . Leveraging pre-built connectors and integrating diverse applications and data sources. Managing JSON schema definitions for triggers and configuring retry policies .
• Connecting Serverless Components Strong ability to connect serverless components using Azure Service Bus (for message queuing) and Event Grid (for event routing), building resilient and decoupled architectures.
• Azure API Management Designing, publishing, and securing APIs, especially those backed by serverless backend services.
