Job summary

LANXESS is seeking an IT/OT Network Administrator for its El Dorado, AR operations. You will maintain PLC, DCS, and SIS OT networks, implement process control OT networks per guidelines, and manage security and network infrastructure across OT/IT environments.

You will coordinate with Corporate IT and onsite teams, ensuring reliable connections to OSI PI, APC, and central servers, with a focus on secure operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of IT/OT network administration or related field.
• Experience with virtual networks, LANs, and DCS environments.
• Solid knowledge of servers, switches, firewalls, and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PLC, DCS, and SIS OT networks across LANXESS South Arkansas sites.
• Implement and maintain process control OT networks per CC-PCT guidelines.
• Install and manage firewalls; develop security rules for process control.
• Maintain connectivity to central servers supporting OSI PI and APC.
• Design, install, and repair network infrastructure (copper/fiber, switches, routers, microwave).
• Manage OS updates, patches, and deployments across OT/IT environments.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT and onsite support teams; act as primary site IT contact.

• Responsible for the maintenance, programming, and administration of all PLC, DCS, and SIS control systems and associated Operational Technology (OT) networks across LANXESS South Arkansas sites.
• Implement and maintain process control OT networks in accordance with LANXESS PCT OT guidelines established by CC-PCT.
• Install, configure, and manage firewalls, including developing rules to support secure process control operations.
• Maintain connectivity to central servers supporting OSI PI, Advanced Process Control (APC), and other required applications.
• Design, install, and repair network infrastructure, including copper and fiber-optic cabling, telemetry, switches, routers, and point-to-point microwave systems.
• Install and manage operating system updates, security patches, and software deployments across process control computers, servers, switches, firewalls, and virtual environments.
• Manage site IT infrastructure, including telephone systems, access control (CCURE), video surveillance (ExactVision and Unify), and supporting equipment such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
• Coordinate with Corporate IT, desktop support, servers and storage, production services, and conference room support teams.
• Serve as the primary site contact for IT contractors and coordinate onsite technical support.

Experience / Skills

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT/OT network administration, process control systems, or a related technical field.
• Experience administering virtual networks, local area networks (LANs), and DCS environments.
• Working knowledge of servers, network switches, firewalls, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
