R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Physician Advisor (Part-time Salaried, Level of Care Team) in AR to review inpatient cases and provide written analyses. The role requires collaboration with attending physicians, utilization review, and timely responses while meeting quality and productivity standards.

Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted U.S. MD or DO license, have 3+ years post-residency, strong clinical knowledge, and flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted U.S. MD or DO medical licensure.
• 3+ years of experience post-residency focused on inpatient care.
• Strong clinical knowledge across multiple clinical areas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, organized with persuasive writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to customer promptly; usually within 1-2 hours of submission to the queue.
• Must work during pre-scheduled hours to be highly successful in this role (schedules are created about 30 days in advance).
• Physicians should be highly capable of working independently with a high level of performance in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
• Actively engage with attending physicians to discuss appropriate status as supported by documentation.
• Make phone contact with utilization review team and/or case managers at client hospitals regarding submitted case determinations.
• Provide written analysis of the case and perform case reviews across multiple specialties.
