Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina is hiring a Data Engineer to design and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL. You will enable data scientists with accessible data, automate workflows, and collaborate across IT to support global business services.

The role emphasizes productionizing data workflows, data quality checks, and integration with GCP, Delta Lake, and modern data lake architectures.

Formación

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• +5 years in a Data Engineer role with hands-on Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms (GCP/Azure) and modern data lake architectures.
• Ability to design, implement, and productionize ETL/ELT pipelines and data products.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Build and operate agentic workflows to automate data engineering processes and data quality checks.
• Integrate pipelines with Databricks, GCP BigQuery, Delta Lake and other data stores.
• Develop data pipelines to support new datasets and business requirements.
• Create reusable data engineering frameworks and production-ready components.
• Collaborate with data science and platform teams to scale solutions and maintain controls.
