Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg seeks a Health Care Aide to join the N2W Surgery team under supervision of RN/RPN/LPN. You will assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed, contributing to safe, compassionate patient experiences.

This in-person role is part-time (FTE 0.70), with evenings and weekends shifts, 7.75 hours per day, and a focus on teamwork, confidentiality, and timely task prioritization.

Qualificações

• Recent patient care experience (in the last 4 years) required or equivalent will be considered.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized college/educational institution required.
• CPR training; current BCLS certification preferred for ICU/Urgent Care positions; recertification annually.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN), the Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), and/or the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the Health Care Aide (HCA) acts as a member of the health care team, assisting with patient/resident care and providing basic supportive care as directed.

Experience

• Recent patient care experience (in the last 4 years) required or equivalent will be considered.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized college/educational institution required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required for positions in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Urgent Care with recertification required annually. Certification must be obtained within 2 months of acquiring the position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
